Born in Erith, Kent, England, but conceived in Oshawa, David Paul likes to think of himself as a Canadian idea. He earned his B.A. from the University of Western Ontario and his M.A. from the University of Waterloo.
For thirty years David taught English at several high schools, most of them in London, Ontario. He has published two chapbooks: Locomotive and Tender (The Pikadilly Pres, 1977) and Spilling the Beans (Killaly Press, 1979). Trapped Moonlight (Southwestern Ontario Poetry, 2005) is his first full length book of poetry.
David lives in London with his wife Beverly. Their two sons have flown in the direction of Toronto.
