Sonia Halpern was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. She completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Western Ontario, and acquired a Master's Degree in Art History from Queen's University in Kingston. Since 1990, Sonia has been teaching Art History at UWO, and has received numerous teaching awards. For the last five years she has been named one of Western's most "Popular Profs" by the Maclean's Guide to Canadian Universities. This is her first collection of poetry.
